Happy Thanksgiving 2020

Zoom, Doom, and Gloom - Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

Yes, it's that kind of year. You may feel gloomy because you will be sharing a Thanksgiving meal with your family on Zoom, but at least you won't overeat. At best, while you are slipping a bit of turkey under your mask, you may feel cheated or guilty because you threw the mask in the corner of the room and are laughing uncontrollably at some antics of a grandchild. Regardless, it promises to be different. My expired driver's license reminds me that I am quite vulnerable to the virus. Do not fear! The vaccine is on the way as soon as the politicians ensure the distribution will give them the most credit. Yes, we live in a fallen world with incredible leaders. Look up incredible. It doesn't mean, "Oh that was fantastic!"  It means impossible to believe.

Alright, alright, I'm really trying here to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Actually, this has been one of the best years of our lives in the Hull household. God has shown himself so faithful. His mercy has rained down on us in our ministry, our family, and with many of our friends. It reminds me of the song I begin to sing this time of year … I can't get this little tune out of my mind.

"Great is Thy faithfulness, Oh God my Father,

There is no shadow of turning with Thee;

Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not

As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed Thy hand hath provided-

Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!”

I can't finish without my hands in the air and tears in my eyes.

In Christ,

Bill Hull
